December 26, 2023 - 8th of 12, pnp, perfect cork and level, unchanged from last December's bottle, the colour suggests it's past it, but the flavours are fresh and precise, if slightly caramelised, v complex and persistent, plateau, no rush. VF (18.5).

    February 13, 2023 - not blind
For me over his peak. Very brownish colour and the alcohol is dominating. I expected more. 91-92

February 3, 2023 - The bottle had a little storage, but some decanting quickly blew it off.

As the wine opened, it revealed its candy drawer full of exotic citrus fruit candies - finger lime, bergamot, quince, blood orange - that are backed by a stream of refreshing minerality. Honeyed tropical fruits dance across the palate as the mid-palate lift keeps things organized.

This is my first time drinking a Cuvee Constance, and it certainly won't be the last.

January 10, 2023 - Gifted this 375 bottle by the DQ.....and forgot to open it this weekend after our big dinner, so took it tonight to a wine tasting with new CT friends, along with HMC. I poured off some for each of the 5 of us at the end of a great evening of 4 whites and 8 reds put together by new CT friend KenK, and much thanks to him for that! And much thanks to DQ for supplying this one. Ken and Don actually came to the conclusion (correct!) that this was a Vouvray and a Chenin. To my palate, it was remarkably similar in flavor profile and nose to my all time fav dessert wine, the '07 Klein Constantia Vin de Constance. The same beautiful orange muscat and apricot and honey notes. Beautiful dark, dark amber coloring in the glass, too. The weight of the wine is a tad lighter/thinner in viscosity as compared against the Klein Constantia. What a fun trip with an old wine! Thanks again, Jen!

December 24, 2022 - At long last opened my magnum (and poured off 3x375 to drink on other occasions). This was absolutely beautiful. Light mouthfeel (unlike many dessert wines which are more syrupy or heavy) but full and intense flavors of apricot, honey, caramel apple. Intense nose. Very very drinkable.
Will bring a 375 to FL for NYE, Mark, get ready. I would bring 2x but I don’t think we could handle it!!!
