August 19, 2023 - Fragrant overtones of vanilla oak, cocoa, blueberries and gravel. Palate is rich, clean and deep. Medium to full-bodied structure which is polished and open. Good length and balance on the palate. Transition to finish is smooth and flavourful. Ready to drink now with half an hour of decanting.

April 10, 2022 - 95% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano. 24 months in new oak casks (70% French, 30% American), 14.5% vol.
Opened 2 hours before dinner and decided not to decant the wine. Quite modern type of Rioja, blind I would have pointed to Ribera del Duero. On the nose intense, still very primary, red fruited with forest floor, good freshness, mellowed tannin, dense and long. Very good but not what you would expect from a classic Gran Reserva, drink now or within the next 6 to 8 years, superb with BBQ.1 person found this helpful Comment -

December 15, 2018 - Dark ruby red colour. No sediment in the bottle. Medium thick legs. On the nose a blend with dried cherries, blackberries and vigs. It immediately after opening already has very strong perfumes of sweet spicy flavours like cinnamon and anise. On the palate it's soft medium bodied with medium acidity. There's still a lot of concentration in the fruit. Tannins are soft and barely recognisable. It has a very long and pleasant finish with again the spices that were also present on the nose. At this point in time a well balanced and integrated wine, that will be able to be enjoyed for several years more.

September 29, 2017 - a rioja gran reserva somewhere between traditional and modern stile but nevertheless a good wine with a lot of fruit, good nose, good structure, for me a lttle bit too modern and of course now still too young. Will be better in a few years.
