August 1, 2017 - Dark ruby, a bit too warm for a full bodied red tonight, fruity with rs. A bit later, nose of brambles, medium dry with bold fruit and body, cane tannins, some cola and bitters. Going to wait awhile before opening my last bottle.

December 27, 2016 - Dark ruby with carmelized grape jelly nose. Open for a couple of days. Off dry with an acid component giving a good balance to some underlying sweetness. Full body and fruit, some earthy elements contribute to the boldness. The acids do a good job of keeping the fruit from becoming jammy along with the chewy tannins. Drinking well and should please those liking a full bodied version of the grape, more new than old world.
