Community Tasting Notes 5

  • cweiss Likes this wine:

April 18, 2019 - China King. My last bottle and IMHO fully and wonderfully mature.

  • cweiss Likes this wine:

July 21, 2015 - Peach farm on my birthday. Really delicious mature Auslese. Very complex palate including apples and roasted lemon. Still moderately sweet. Very long finish. The remainder (yes, remainder; there were lots of excellent wines at dinner) the next day was at least as good. No hurry to drink.

February 29, 2012 - Nose of pear and citrus. On the palate, caramel apple, candied lemon peel, pear, hint of fennel. Great balance, lingering finish. Probably at peak.

    February 27, 2011 - Bad leaker - oxidized.

June 5, 2003 - Lovely pale daisy; low keyed nose, gentle citrus; hessian, minerally, crisp, broad, definite earthiness; dryish, firm finish. <16
