October 29, 2015 - Upon first sniff, there's a strong vegetal funk that you often find in Chilean carmeneres. The tannins feel jagged. But the wine transformed into a very different animal after 30 minutes in the glass. It now smelled a lot like Hershey's chocolate (yes, it even has that sour milk smell), and there's also some coffee, pencil shavings, and black fruit. It becomes more pleasant in the mouth too, if a little soft. A little simple, but for the price point, really not bad at all.
