  September 22, 2021 - Deep ruby with several color variations on the tongue, no brown hues at all given the age. Nose of stewed fruit, jam prunes with a hint of sweetness - black cherry. Palate is full of soft cherry with layers of cloves and baking spice. Tannins are rounded with a smooth finish.

  January 19, 2019 - Thrown a crust. More cherry red now with age, yes, there's smoke, and berries beneath, gentle tannins and some acid bite. Maybe 10 more years in a good cellar.

  October 18, 2017 - Deep plum to purple in color. Full body with very slow legs. Inviting nose of berries, ripe berries forward with a spicy mid palate and a smooth tannin smoky finish. This one should probably bottle age for 8-10 yrs. 2013 was an exceptional year for South African Cape Wines.
