April 12, 2023 - Had at La Colombe as part of the tasting menu pairing.

It was fine, as with the other recommended wine a bit linear for my liking. Oak does come through for sure. Not sure if I'd buy again for the restaurant, or retail, price, but it's good to try new things!

Just checking some of the pricing online, see some bottles on WS at about £25 - that's reasonable for this wine. Sommelier suggested they were attempting to make a wine to break the $100 price point, which for me this is quite far off.

August 15, 2020 - Very, very good. Nose of creamed butter and vanilla. Tastes are splendid with light bruleed pineapple, and faint butterscotch. The finish is the star attraction: long and luxurious in the mouth with creamy lemon pie elements and a hint of spice.

July 19, 2020 - Very nice chardonnay, heavier mouthfeel and body than most. Excellent complexity, but it could be starting on a downhill journey, starting to feel like it's lost some lift.

November 20, 2019 - The nose features high toned aromas of sweet vanilla, bergamot, creme brûlée, Meyer lemon, tangerine peel and candies ginger. It’s on the heavier side of medium on the palate, and features a flirty steak of acid that provides both twitchy tension and backbone. Flavors include limesicle, white pepper, white tea, lily and tangerine juice. This is a classy, complex and intellectual wine that’s in a great place in its evolution right now.
