April 17, 2022 - Delicious. Tightly bound on opening but showed great potential on nose and P. Decanted and left in decanter in cellar for c2.5 hrs. Light rose petal, orange rind, dark red fruit, earthy, savoury, slight truffle, some light tar on N all followed up on P. Subtle, detailed, and interesting. Lovely balance of classic neb acidity and tannin. Mighty structure hidden beneath. Drinking nicely now, but I will hold my other bottle for 5-10yrs. Paired beautifully with osso bucco and risotto Milanese.
Kept 1 large glass in bottle overnight in cellar. Was very smooth and resolved and still lovely, but at its best the night before.

September 23, 2017 - Tasting at the Cantina. Very luscious robe, ruby colour, touch of bricking. Musky, earthy notes at the start, then emerges sweet strawberry fruit, followed by spices. Lovely complexity, and on palate all about balance and integration between the powerful structure and fresh, sweet fruit. Very good indeed

November 16, 2016 - Yearly truffle dinner at the great Italian restaurant “La Vecchia Signora” in Stockholm.
Newly harvested white truffles flown in straight from Alba was the base in all of the six courses served.
This year the winery Oddero was present with their wines.
Nose with warm and ripe red cherries and plums, sweet licorice, glue and alcohol.
Palate warm and somewhat towards stewed red fruits, creamy and riche.
Lacking a bit of balance, finesse and acidity, most likely due to the warm vintage.
Still, quite nice to drink now, and went good with the food.

August 22, 2016 - The Riserva labeled Vigna Mondoca. A more luxuriant, richer bouquet of melted road tar, bloody game meats, black fruit and dark florals. A clear step up from the 2012. Surprisingly approachable for a pop and poured SV Riserva. A broad shouldered, but well balanced, weighty wine. Dark fruit, liquorice and fruit cake. Complex and intriguing. Good length. I'd give it 3 years only to begin to approach, again I'd imagine it being fairly early drinking.
