April 13, 2024 - Decanted for two hours. A very classic and complex left bank nose of cassis, red cherry, pencil lead, earthy notes, bouillon, a hint of mint and some smoky and spicy oaky notes. I really dig the herbal side of the nose, I suppose atypical but wonderful. On the palate on the rich side but thoroughly balanced and streamlined with grippy, appropriate tannins and excellent freshness. Savory and beautifully developed but with terrific, impeccably ripe fruit still. This is at a fantastic stage right now with pretty much perfect proportions. I enjoy this style a lot.

February 16, 2024 - Served in my wine course (gift from A&D). Interesting nose with cilantro and citrus. Fairly fresh in the finish. Rounded mature tannins.

January 27, 2024 - blackberry fruit and subtle earthy funk. some noticeable tannins so may have a few more years left to run. One bottle left. decanted for 2.5 hours. paired nicely with smoked beef tenderloin filet

February 17, 2023 - Good Bordeaux, well aged, 30 min in decanter started singing. Slight bricking on the edges. Nose of blackberries, cassis, cocoa, mocha, scorched earth. Palate is medium, with sweet black fruit and excellent acidity for balance. Tannins still present. Finish is short to medium. Will keep for few mores years

December 31, 2021 - I like this yet was hoping for a bit more. Deep ruby with a whif of purple remaining. I am digging the nose - cassis and blackberry fruit, cigar wrapper, crushed stones, cinnamon- traditional yet warm. Almost plump on the nose. Medium bodied palate with a nice initial wave of flavor. Again, feels plump and not yet secondary in flavor profile. My issue is things drop rather quickly. Not the length the nose promises. A bit of tannin remains on the finish. Very good just not next level. Will be interesting to follow - will it eveolve and the tannins resolve? We’ll see. It’s good and my style of wine, just not special right now. (91)
