July 23, 2023 - Completely agree with Swade on this wine. Singing right out of the bottle. A bit delicate, esp for an 05 but showing sweet fruit andvredolved tannin with delicious secondary flavors emerging. A real treat and great qpr. In fact all my 05 F Magnien wines have been stunning - especially this and the Amoureuses.

July 4, 2023 - Three years since the last bottle and time has favored this. It was still tight last time, but wide open tonight. This was a gift from God. Grace. Super savory beef stock aromas. Suave entry. Savory black cherry, sous bois and Chinese spice flavors. Long finish. No sense of oak. This is one I bought back in the early years based upon vineyard rather than producer. I paid $109 for this. Afterward I heard the producer panned for too much oak, but time can fix this and it did. Very rewarding. 95

April 16, 2020 - This one surprised on the upside. Medium plus body, beautiful semisweet fruit and emerging secondary flavors. Worth trying one now or holding for later.

February 21, 2020 - Deeply colored. Beef stock aromas. This needed a couple of hours to come to clarity and show flavors. Then it tightened up on the back end. It was fascinating to experience. It was watching a flower blossom at dusk and close. Very Zen. Ripe entry. Black cherry and spice. Puckery finish with some latent grip. Time will favor this. It is still on the way up. Savory. 93
