May 16, 2008 - Clear, medium garnet. Expressive nose of green olive, dusty earth, dill, green pepper, sweet cinnamon spice, cassis, black cherry. Palate exhibits both fruity and vegetal notes of black cherry & currant, green pepper and spice. Great mouthfeel, well balanced with good acidity & tannins and medium alcohol. This wine is drinking really well right now.

June 1, 2007 - Opened but not decanted 1 hour. Explosive nose of Asian spices, coffee, chocolate, cassis, tobacco that just doesn't stop even after 2 hours in the glass. On the palate though the wine leaves a lot to be desired. There is no mid-palate left. It tastes hollow and light but still has enough fruit to be enjoyable with food. The acid will take over soon. No finish to speak of. This wine is an enigma for me, the nose is profound but in the mouth it is empty. This was my last bottle.
