December 21, 2016 - Thought it was pretty heavy, spicy and alcohol forward first night. Better night 2. Give it some time in cellar.

    July 31, 2016 - Awesome QPR

May 11, 2016 - “Mövenpick Weinspektakel”-Tasting. This wine was medium ruby in colour and offered cooked red fruit, berries, spices and slate on the nose. On the palate the wine showed red fruit and spices, with medium to medium-plus acidity and tannin, warming alcohol and very good length. It had good structure, but might lack fruit quality and fruit concentration required to balance the structure and age well.

March 9, 2016 - Almost black, purple reflexes.
After opening, it has a wonderfully rich blackberry nose.
Palate is a plummy kind of sweet and bitter, maybe liquorice. Pretty jammy and full-bodied.
Jamminess increases with aeration, as does the alcohol burn on the nose and the bitter-sweetness on the palate.
Medium finish of liqurice, blackberry and, still, alcohol spiciness.
It's 15.5%, but I noticed before I read the ABV on the label.
The fruit is nice, but the alcohol ruins nose, palate, and finish.

    Pop&Pour rating: 50+4+11+11+7=83

December 19, 2015 - Closed nose, dominant black raspberries and liquorice on the palate. A very dense, thick wine (could stand a spoon in it), almost port like. Good but too big for my liking (needs at least 5 years in the cellar - 15.5%).
