May 1, 2024 - If you visited an estate, the wines hold a special place in you heart ❤️: the San Leonardo is the flag ship wine of the winery, a blend of CS 60 %, Carmenere 30 % and Merlot 10 %. Carmenere provides a fresh “green” counterbalance to the Bordeaux grapes, resulting in a fabulous balance and great depth: bell pepper, cherry, black fruit, leather, tobacco, blackcurrant, cassis, medium body plus, superb long finish.

April 12, 2024 - My personal favourite vintage along 19, 07 & 01 tasted at Tenuta San Leonardo, exceptional elegance and impeccably balanced concentration. A blend of 60% CS, 30% Carmenere and 10% Merlot, aged for 24 months in new, 2nd & 3rd use FR oak barrels. Deep garnet. Intense eruption of elegant aromas of tobacco, smoky cherries, strawberries & cassis, potpourri, leather. Medium+ body, elegant structure, concentrated with pleasant restraint, deep and rich flavours mirroring aroma, medium acidity, medium+ refined tannins.

November 4, 2023 - Singing now and for years to come. Cigar box and dark berries. Medium bodied. Suitable for fine dining and for digging into it for yourself. The dominating blackcurrants are gone and giving way to a complex and mature wine. Love it

May 16, 2023 - Showing maturity already - I know the tasting notes pointed to 2032 as the closing window, and usually I am much later than the CT votes, but not in this case.
