Community Tasting Notes 5

November 8, 2015 - Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. All black fruit with good density for its level. Lots of fun, this didn't come across as particularly "2003" in terms of ripeness. More structure came through vs when tasted at this same event last year, so I enjoyed it much more this year.

November 9, 2014 - Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Dense and meaty with extreme concentration for Villages wine. Didn't quite find this in harmony.

March 28, 2013 - dark fruit, blue violet lift.
dark fruits, blue-black spice, reasonably rich and quite smooth, hint of vanilla, some essence of blueberries and plums, lots of fine tannin for a grippy finish. good but not especially interesting.

January 6, 2013 - Big and mouth coating. Very fine tannin and decent acid keeps it well balanced. Notes of dark cherry, strawberries and forest floor, both on the nose and palate. Should drink well for a few more years.

March 4, 2011 - Deep red color, spicy red fruit nose, slightly floral, still oaky during the 1st hour, big and powerful attack, very ripe but still elegant, very good village.
