November 19, 2018 - I thought this was great. Delicate and thoroughly enjoyable. Good fruit and earth.

November 21, 2012 - We definitely pushed this to its outer drinking window but it is still delicious. Deep in color with a hint of violets on the nose. Medium bodied with a bit of acidity so it is still bright but the fruit is still there too. Somewhat dry on the finish - it would be excellent with a juicy pork chop or roasted chicken. 2003 was a difficult vintage that Brian crafted beautifully. We are never let down by Belle Pente wines.

November 15, 2012 - Dark red color with pink rim. The nose is representative of the ripe vintage - dark cherry, mineral, earth, and musk. On the palate, there is ample dark cherry, raspberry, and spice. Structurally, this is big-boned with low acidity for an Oregon pinot noir and a full mouthfeel. The finish is ripe and packed with dark fruit and spice. Overall, this was a big wine from a ripe vintage, but it was not over the top. Drink soon.

May 6, 2007 - Having visited the winery and met the winemaker, I should have been prepared for what a got from this bottle: a stange pinot. This effort definitely lacked the fruit forward nose and fore pallate typical of Willamette pinots. Good midpalate flavor weakened by a short finish. There have to be 25 Willamette pinots from 2003 that are better than this.
