October 15, 2017 - Pleasant Sangiovese/Merlot blend that’s easy to drink, fruit forward at this stage but a little depth and balance. Easy to consume with Pizza, pasta or pan fried cutlets.

April 11, 2017 - Day one this was tart, but it seems to have all of the ingredients to be a very good food wine and the wood should tone down It will never rival the best supertuscans, but it's not supposed to. I think it will be very much like a good CR with some balanced wood notes in 5-6 years. Good QPR.
I like Ben's chocolate note. I left half a bottle vacu-sealed in the refrigerator and had it 2 nights later and things had settled down quite nicely. Red fruits had become pronounced and there was much more balance. I bought a 6 pack as a nice alternative to Chianti.1 person found this helpful Comment -

September 13, 2016 - Second tastes gives up more old wood on the nose, but not in a bad way, in kinda a chocolate way.

Smokey and dark with some older wood showing through on the nose. And soft mid palate with a touch of tannin on the back end.
