February 9, 2023 - Non reductive. A little fatter and riper than what I expect for the vintage but still a decent wine with som freshness. Drink quite soon.

December 11, 2019 - Surprising ready and delicious. Fruits and mineral getting integrated. Vibrant fruits and good texture. Very very nice as a Chassagne at this price.

January 20, 2018 - This is an absolutely stunning wine. A beautiful example of understated power.

On the nose, a cascade of chalk, wet rocks, dry grass, and a slightly musty stink that reminds you you’re drinking white Burgundy. There’s a subtle intensity but a reticence to be flashy.

The palate follows, very Chablis-like in its crystalline focus and freshness. But this sensation of lightness is perfectly balanced by a richness and a touch of deftly applied, seamlessly integrated oak. The finish is just crackling with intense acidity and lasts for an eternity.

This puts on a bit of weight and opens up with air, but it does not drink like it’s too young. That said, it has the intensity of flavor and the strong acid backbone to go the distance. No shame in cracking this now, but I’d guess that you could also easily hold for a decade or more. I wish I could afford a case!

Easily one of the most impressive wines I’ve had in the past year (of course, it’s also one of the more expensive wines I’ve had in the last year...). Do not hesitate to buy this.
