April 14, 2024 - Prune mure, sous-bois, belle maturité, en bouche c'est profond, ample, un fruit mure qui en met plein la bouche, tannins présents mais soyeux, acidité moyenne, un vin dans son sweet spot et super gourmand ! J'aime beaucoup

June 20, 2020 - Winebar [4 Whites, 8 Reds, & 4 *shared* Bottles] from 06/19/20 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): "A careful selection of C.S. & Syrah grapes - grown on an area limited to 9 ha @ 1,100 m of altitude;” Typically, “Aged up to 24 mos in FR oak barrels;”

N: SMOKE, toast, with ripe berries/pyrazines underneath coming out with air/swirling?

P: MF, poss Full, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish oak/frt fairly quickly met by an astringent pucker which stays within hailing distance of the init frt as it only somewhat unpacks itself by the LONG finish with a distinct swtness to the still ample, though not all THAT offensive, dusty tannins. NEEDS through '22, perhaps even longer, then drinking through '27? My EXC, arguably even higher for those seeking a full bore style -- & with patience? [This vendor's $41.95 is $3 < wine-searcher's only other currently listed source.]

June 1, 2018 - Wine-pages Glasgow Festival of Wine Pre Offline (Cail Bruich, Glasgow): Deep, immediately impressive black fruits on the nose, feeling fairly youthful.
Huge poise immediately on the palate. Very impressive mouthfeel.
Super smooth, very luxurious mouthfeel, but with a blast of rather tight tannins towards the finish.
A bit international maybe, and I have written down that it would possibly be more impressive if it came from somewhere other than Lebanon, which I can now only just about understand!

Cabernet sauvignon & syrah, aged 18 months in French oak.

    Lot #2640
