October 15, 2022 - Well composed with nothing out of place. Plump fruit and nice minerality. At peak.

February 24, 2022 - 14 Niellon flight. The most easy-drinking of the trio with lots of lush, ripe fruit with some mineral accents and sufficient acidity. On its own very good, in the context of the trio, this lagged behind a bit.

February 24, 2022 - White Burgundy study (2008 and 2014) (Chicago, IL): This has drastically improved from what I wrote in my previous note. Yes, I was quite wary of the oak on this, but to me it seems that a lot of the sharper oak tones have receded into the background. For my palate, this was still clearly the clumsiest of the three 2014 Niellons tonight. The 2014 acidity is now more prominent, and counterweights the sweet yellow fruit (that is admittedly a little clunky). Given the trajectory from my last tasting of this, I think even more time will do this wine well.

December 25, 2021 - With Christmas dinner of roast chicken, a sensuous, layered, minerally, long, bright, mature yet vigorous bottle of Chassagne. A bit quiet on the bouquet but rocking on the palate. 93-94 pts.

April 4, 2020 - no oak; pear, white peach, good finish with good acidity.
