September 3, 2013 - Wonderful wine with a tenderloin. Very complex with raspberries, cherries and black pepper. Very balanced with a smooth finish to top it off. Very happy that I inherited a whole case of this!

May 6, 2012 - Opened and gave it 15 minutes of air. Similar to previous reviews, but a very nice nose when first poured.

May 6, 2011 - I regretted not decanting this bottle. The nose started to express itself about 90 minutes after opening. Dark garnet, no sign of premature aging. Initially the nose was muted, eventually developing pleasant notes of cherries, cedar, and raspberries, In the mouth, berries and sour cherry notes dominate with a licorice on the finish. The mid-palate feels a bit diluted, but the wine is quite long. The tannins are still there and I suspect they will outlast the fruit. Overall a very pleasant elegant wine, good on its own and good with food - hard to resist... I don't think that it's going to get much better and it's in a good place now. I would decant at least 1 hour.

April 10, 2011 - A pretty good bottle. More tobacco in the nose than previous bottles. Still hanging together. Pleasant with a grilled tenderloin.
