February 12, 2018 - This needs cellar time, or a whole lot of air. On Day 2 It is just lovely, balanced and harmonious. The nose shows rich and ripe fruit - yellow apples, apricots, hints of pineapple, entirely shot through with a minerality that is very complex with dark brown spice, slate, and wet rock tones. great acidity, balance, and focus on the palate, which comes off as feinherb to me, and where all of the aromas follow through and the finish is very long and with a complex bitterness, like stone fruit pits.
But day 1 was not like this. Fascinating really, because all of the components were present, but they were disjointed, not working together in any way, and the wine felt way more tropical and a lot less interesting. I won't open what I've got for 5 more years, minimum.2 people found this helpful Comments (1) -

Licht oxidatief toetsje, heel speciaal. -

August 8, 2017 - Tasted side by side w '13. PNP. This is straw color. Nose shows white peach and some menthol/mint? Swishing shows super tart lemony grapefruit flavor that has a lengthy finish. Sipping settles the acid with fruit but this is certainly on the racy side of Riesling. Prefer this for what little "weight" that it has to the '13. Better night 2 after being open in fridge. Would decant if drinking near term

March 10, 2016 - Pretty tightly wound at this stage. With air it opened up and showed a hint of its potential. Really lovely acidity and minerality. So pure and precise.

August 31, 2015 - Light yellow. Peach, orange blossom, and crushed rock on the nose. Peach in the mouth, with a saline, almost salty, finish. Zesty and crisp but would benefit from a touch more acid. Drink now through 2020.
