Community Tasting Notes 3

June 12, 2020 - Did not get great analysis on this one, but dark fruited, broad shoulders, acidic, but not that tannic for how much tannat, cab, and petit verdot were in this. I wouldn't say that this is past peak, but it the fruit was not the prominent feature.

November 29, 2019 - This has peaked. Glass decanted for 3 hours and drank over the following 3 hours with steaks. Nice with a filet mignon but not so well with a flavorful NY. Fruit faded as the night went on, becoming somewhat one dimensional. Interesting blend - fun to throw into a blind tasting and watch the reactions: 48% Tannat, 23% Zin, 15% Cab, 14% Petit Verdot. Dark fruit with strong acidity. Was expecting more ageability with the relatively heavy Tannat proportion. Decant for a short time and enjoy.

July 1, 2016 - Dark garnet colored. PnP, but should have let it sit for at least 2 hours. Strong fruit, blueberries. Improved after an hour or so and with food. Lone Madrone makes some nice experimental wines. This one won't be for everyone.
