January 7, 2022 - Shockingly good, considering that the last three bottles caused me to believe that this had seen its best days. The Delys is truly a special cuvee, not as richly toned or as brambly as the Cote de Py, but a tiny bit more elegant and spicy when at its peak. Many of the darker red fruits have migrated toward a spicier, blackberry, blackcurrant and red currant direction. As with the 2014 Foillard, I am beginning to believe that while these wines can indeed age for a long time, in a great vintage like 2014, six or seven years is the peak time to drink them. What happens next is interesting but not scintillating.

March 14, 2021 - Fairly saturated ruby. Again, quite amazing volume and depth of tart blackberry fruit with a little bit of blueberry thrown in. Still quite tannic. Drink now only if you want to chew your way through the bottle.

And 2 nights later, it is still going strong with slightly sweeter blackberry confiture and more herbs. I had forgotten to mention that this bottle had suffered 6 months of pandemic mistreatment after having been set aside as a gift in a warm pantry and then forgotten. It is impressively indestructible!! A serious aging Beaujolais even if that term might seem like a tautology.

October 28, 2020 - Not worth opening now. Going or Gillman is right that it needs decades

May 15, 2020 - Que passa? A year+ ago, this was the best all-around Morgon we tried, in close competition with the Lapeirre CML and the Foilalrd CdeP.. The last three bottles have shown a dry, somewhat acidic overlay and whle the fruit is still there in the center, a rougher outer layer carrying the nicely crafted wine. I am hoping this could be a temporary hibernation.

April 29, 2020 - Delicious. Standout bojo. Fruit forward, with dark cherry and plum notes, but with a seam of acidity and rocky coolness to keep it balanced. Good density and length. Higher abv than I’m used to but doesn’t show. Probably better in another few years to develop another layer of complexity but excellent now.
