Community Tasting Notes 5

  • Mr Jupiter Likes this wine: 92 points

December 2, 2020 - Dark fruits, nice acidity, somewhat low on the tannins but still a very nice wine.

  • Erroll Likes this wine: 88 points

August 20, 2018 - concentrated notes of cherry, dense but fresh. Oak and leather and a bit cacao. High in acid and tannins in a positive way.

  • danme Does not like this wine: 78 points

December 31, 2017 - Aroma of nail polish and all the excitement is gone.

  • Jonezky Likes this wine: 91 points

January 15, 2017 - The nose gives dark ripe berries, spices and flowery notes.

The taste of the wine is like the scent on the nose. Dark berries, blackcurrant, strawberry and plum, delicate flower notes and a hint of mineral stones, dark chocolate and relatively restrained oak.

The flavour is intense, concentrated but fresh, clean cut. The tannins as well as acidity has grown quite a bit in the decanter after the first glass and holds the wine nicely together.

In the after taste stony minerality becomes increasingly stronger. As the wine opens up peppery fruitiness gets a clear increase in abundance and length, while snappy tannins dries out the mouth.

September 19, 2013 - Dark with a purple rim. Acetone in the nose, giving room for anise and licorice after a while together with some fruit that has a hard time competing with the very strong non-fruit flavours. In the mouth raspberries and strawberries behind tremendous tannins; there is also a fresh fruit acid that reminds me of green apples! A very exiting wine that can be explored for a while - definitely more huge than elegant, though...
