May 13, 2017 - Dense, dark, chocolate textures. Deep ink with slow legs, and quite a bit of sediment stuck to the side of this 14 year old bottle. A nose of forest floor and mushroom hinted at the raisin/prune density of the wine. Very full bodied and leathery. Drank very well with a long finish.

January 11, 2015 - Wow, this is drinking very well. Tannins are integrated fairly well. Dark red in color and a little funk initially on the nose. Lots of fruit left on this one. It should last a little while longer. Maybe a year or two.

December 26, 2012 - This is supposed to be an "early drinking" cab from the prestigeous Spottswoode estate, and even after 9 years it was excellent. Nice fruit, body, length, and still a few tannins left. Drink up soon and enjoy before it goes downhill.

March 2, 2010 - good but uninteresting. a lot of fruit, but not much complexity.

January 1, 2010 - Did not decant and I suspect that the wine didn't open fully. Muted dark fruit and earth flavors with minimal complexity.
