March 8, 2024 - From magnum. Consistent with previous tasting note.

December 8, 2023 - I agree with the others below. Decant both for sediment and to get this wine to open up and see where it really is now. The timeline here probably needs 1-2 more years. Still biting on the end but fruit is very present upfront and Syrah funkiness abounds. Had along side a 07 Carlisle James Berry Syrah and it held it's own in quality as well as unique taste. Drink this winter with a long decant of 2 hours or so, or hold 12-24 months

July 7, 2023 - From magnum. Pop n poured. Excellent wine. Nice balance with fruit and acidity. Some syrah funkiness

January 26, 2023 - It's too bad I wasn't patient with this wine - it finally seems to be turning the corner, just as I've almost exhausted my supply. At first taste, you might think, "yet another blackberry liqueur blend", but then the aromatics and secondary notes kick in - thyme, blood orange, mint, sage. The tannins are still biting on the finish, suggesting still more time ahead, but until that finish arrives, the smoothness is quite alluring.

December 16, 2022 - This is a really good wine. We decanted at lunch. The nose was dark fruit. The palate was dark berries, tobacco, mahogany and hints of cardamom. The finish was long and smooth. There is quite a bit of sediment so either decant or pour through a filter.
