July 20, 2013 - still holding out, had a lot of honey notes and some floral. Very interesting.

April 26, 2009 - Our first Romorantin. Color dense medium dark yellow, medium-full body, a little glycerin evident. A very interesting nose of copper pipe, wet stone, and dandelions with subtle apricot, cantaloupe, and zest of naval orange - an overall impression that for me at times was a hint of cognac sans spirits/alcohol if that makes any sense. Interesting and excellent on the palate with ripe apricot and orange providing a concentrated inner sweetness amid rainwater noted by others as well as saline all around the perimeter. Smooth feel, mouthwatering acidity that is apparently characteristic of this varietal. An extended finish of mild minerals that eventually places your feet and tongue gently back on earth. We drank this near room temperature to get the nuances but if the temp were chilled I could see how this would be very refreshing. Spouse independently commented "now this is good - I really like it". Very nice indeed, and an excellent value. Back for more, as this is already a favorite of the locals of the wine bar.

June 29, 2008 - Nice rainwater and wet stones with light pear and lemon. Some residual sugar gives it a bit of weight, but it's still light and delicate and mouthwateringly fresh. Slight alcohol burn. I liked this, but Cazin's Cour-Cheverny is more appealing.

July 5, 2006 - Romorantin has the most beautiful nose and this bottle was no exception. A mix a flowers, river stones and grapefruit pith. The mouthfeel is a little rough with sharp acidity and more citrusy lemon and grapefruit. Lots of mineral on the finish. Very good but not for the acid shy.
