February 6, 2024 - Lovely nose of dark berries and dark chocolate. Complex, well balanced wine with good tannins, great balance, and long, savory finish.

December 30, 2023 - Pretty rough first few hours in the decanter, 86 points. But after a few hours it came around, somewhat.

Will be interesting to see where this goes. Bordering between old world and new world style. Will sit on remaining bottles a while.

January 25, 2023 - Drinking nicely now. Held up well and improved slightly over 4 days (refrigerator stored). Going to hold on to my last bottle for a couple of years to see if it goes anywhere further.

June 7, 2022 - Still like it, but somehow, as everything is in balance now, it come across as a new world Cabernet - good, but not the overhyped wine by the critics 10 years ago. 91-92.

  • Mark van Delft Likes this wine: 94 points

January 30, 2021 - Great RdD: blackberry, plum, dark chocolate, prune, black currant, espresso, cedar, medium to full body, smooth long finish. Wining with Bas & Derk

(Neo Punta Esencia) 100% Tinto del País from 80-year-old vines. The wine spends 24 months in new French oak, making it an exciting, seductive equivalent of Gran Reserva minus the wait. Ribera del Duero: The Burgundy of Spain
