July 21, 2017 - I had this out of magnum tonight, at moderate cellar temperature, and it was on fire! It was showing beautifully, fresh as a daisy, with bright fruit, a certain richness, elegant weight on the palate, and just the right amount of funk to keep things interesting, and earthy. It went so well with a country pâté and a baguette, but I imagine that some rich cheeses would have made everything sing, too.

The wine was super long, begging for more sips, and pretty fully integrated. I won't soon forget this joyous wine. Cheers to the Peyrauds for this one!

April 20, 1991 - Medium ruby color. Sweet fruit, but a bit barnyardy. OK on the palate, not too outstanding. Even objectionable. Yuck! 5-6-7-3: 71/100.

April 19, 1991 - With Michael Lehmann at Singer & Foy survey of Domain Tempier. Good red color. Young. Nose has fruit, but is nothing special. Fruit is present, but a bit austere. Good, but not much depth or concentration. 5-8-13-6: 82/100.

July 29, 1989 - Tasted at Singer & Foy survey of 1983 Rhones. Dark red. Least impressive nose in this bunch. Vegetal? In the mouth, it seems a bit simple and one dimensional. Out of balance and somewhat thin. Least impressive wine of the group so far. 5-7-12-4: 78/100.
