September 27, 2016 - Strained into decanter, drank 2 hrs later. Was sediment in bottle. Elegant, silky smooth with a full bodied finish. Paired very well with a reserve cheddar, dried sausage and grilled rack of lamb. This wine drank very well.

October 23, 2008 - Blah. Basic boring red fruit. Some spice, though it mostly comes across as undesirable heat.
Purple berries. Blueberry, boysenberry. Nothing too noteworthy. Pass.

September 21, 2008 - Popped and poured with friends. Dark. Unremarkable nose; might've needed some air. Ripe blueberries on the palate. A bit thin on the finish. Does give a hint of acidity on the extreme back-end. Good QPR.

December 9, 2007 - The lighter side of PS. Although classic deep/dark PS color, on the palate this is relatively light, especially on the mid-palate. Nice nose and flavors of plum, blackberry and spice, with a fairly abreviated finish.

November 12, 2007 - After letting the bottle breathe for a bit, the nose seemed somewhat mute with a hint of alcohol. On the palate, there isn't a whole lot of structure with a medium finish. The tannins are present and the taste is unusual in that it starts ever so slightly sweet to only finish with just a hint of bitterness. Based on this experience, there are better petite sirahs to be had at this price point if not cheaper.
