July 6, 2018 - This was wonderful even if not supposed to be a great year. Lighter weight style, tannins gone, still a hint of cherry fruit but most of the flavors were at the earthy, chocolate, smoke, and herbal end. Good stuff.

August 17, 2015 - Light, and still kind of tough. Good color, but the fruit lacks vibrancy and the nose is fairly simple. It's clearly good but I thought I would be more impressed.

November 8, 2010 - Cornas (28-50, London): Slightly rubbery element to the nose. Very stripped on the attack. Grippy. Think this is just dried out rather than corked, but possibly both. ** at best.

October 21, 2009 - Tasting Group Dinner - Miscellaneous (Heidi's, Minneapolis): Deep, dark, plummy, intense nose. Fully resolved tannins. The palate is thinning out just a touch, showing mostly tertiary tobacco/leafy flavors and mellow fruit. The finish turns a bit short, especially with extended air time. Fun but, to my palate, a bit past its prime.

October 21, 2009 - Another Wednesday at Heidi's: The nose is very expressive featuring dark fruit, iron/mineral, earth and tobacco. On the palate this is very impressive, with fully resolved tannin, good acidity, and great length. Nothing to complain about here. Awesome stuff holding up very well.
