Community Tasting Notes 7

December 6, 2022 - This is in a really good place right now after perhaps 30 minutes of air (not decanted). The nose is dark red fruit with an intense richness (but not sweetness) to it. On the palate a lovely balance of dark red fruit (cherries, redcurrants, perhaps even some blackberries), with light acidity and tannins that round everything off in a light, mouth-coating finish.

This isn't a big wine, but for my palate it is an excellent all-round food wine that is pretty good QPR, even if the ~US$34 that I paid is a little above the community average value.

April 5, 2019 - Plum and marzipan (!) nose. Good acidity, good concentration, soft tannins. Very fruity, redcurrant, cherries. Long, fruity aftertaste. Very balanced, very good.

December 27, 2018 - Served by the glass. A fine gamay, with a remarkable floral intensity, spicy and slightly tannic on the palate. It has a lot of life ahead to develop the potential that shows right now.

Servido por copas. Una gamay fina, de una remarcable intensidad floral, especiado y ligeramente tánico al paladar. Tiene mucha vida por delante para desarrollar el potencial que muestra ahora mismo.

December 14, 2017 - This wine had the most interesting nose I've encountered in awhile. I'm Brett adverse sensitive and it was something very faint along those lines, but possible just barnyard-y, earth? At any rate it wasn't a real detractor here but provided some real interest. The palate was less effective and slightly overdone for bojo imo. Heavier and lacking crunch and freshness which can make some so attractive. Still an interesting wine, but not a blockbuster.

June 16, 2016 - Dyp fiolettrød, vaskepulver, anis, mye aroma, plante, skog, ung frukt, lett frukt, litt brent, nesten litt drops ettersmak. lang ettersmak.
