April 13, 2024 - A little caramel oxidation, red and black savoury fruit, mushroom/umami, soy sauce, a little smoky whole bunch. Fresh and juicy, fleshy, breadth, silky tannins, flavours as per nose; perhaps a little more fruit here. Yummy

January 18, 2023 - Coravin fun - Ch. de Beaucastel (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Aromas of red berries that are slightly dried out and a little bramble, earth, a little porcine, sweet spice, a little mulchy note and leather. In the mouth the wine has medium plus intensity acidity which lends a little sourness to the warm red berry fruits, a coarse silk rasp to the mid palate persists long hand in hand with the fruit, sweet spice and more earthy, savoury notes. Okay.

December 25, 2022 - From Coravin. Wild ferment funkiness, a little sour red fruit, touch of smokiness, earthy notes, Autumn copse. Sourly juicy, tightly textured grip, red fruit, wild ferment, Autumnal tertiary notes, leather. Very good.

November 22, 2021 - Gorgeous bottle. Pale in colour, slight signs of evolution. Earthy on the nose, hints on mushrooms, expressive, sweet red fruit, spices. Superbly balanced with good structure on the palate - mellow tannins, really well integrated acidity, complex with lovely depth, very long. Drinking really well - very elegant and complete. 94-96

May 26, 2021 - Coravin fun - Grand Cru Burgundy (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Biscuit, toast, slightly bretty notes, red and blackcurrant, sous bois, slight cedar, earth, blackberry, sweet spices, brambles and, with time, a little coffee. And that coffee note joins biscuit, red and blackcurrant, leather, forest floor and sweet spice on the palate. Softly textured tannins support. All travel long. Yum.
