October 29, 2021 - Pale color with a youthful green tint. Aromas of apple, mineral and lemon. Flavors of pear and mineral with a subtle buttery element. I'd like just a little more acidity and lift. A nice value, but I'll stick with the various offerings from the Spring Ridge Vineyard (Bee Block & others).

March 31, 2021 - Straw colored, medium bodied, bright notes of grapefruit citrus with notes of lime, mineral and hints of oak.

September 11, 2020 - very nice--this half case went way too fast, wish I had more--very good QPR @$22

December 7, 2019 - Strong showing for the price. Weighty waxy texture, but no heft from oak -- just the creamy type notes. Yellow plum stood out on the palate. None of the tropical notes others noticed here. Enjoyable, solid.

June 26, 2019 - Color: star-bright straw yellow with good viscosity. On PnP nose was aggressively oaky but settled right down with a little aeration. Melon, grapefruit, oak, lime accents; pretty nose though -- as with the palate -- not as intense as Varner's higher end SC bottlings. Pleasant palate; minerals, oak, a little citrus/lemon & lime zest and a touch of that higher-end SC Varner textural silkiness. Nice acidity and a moderately long finish. I knew going in this was 'entry-level' Varner and not to expect what I've enjoyed in the SC bottles over the years. Well made, quaffable and reasonably priced to my mind.
