March 3, 2021 - NobleRottersSydney - regional Oz shiraz (Fix, St James, Sydney): {screwcap, 14%} [DavidM] Deep ruby colour, developing nose of rich chocolate, oak and black grape aromas. Less obviously fruity than you may expect from McLaren Vale. The palate is similar, with choco/vanilla qualities, subdued dark fruit; it’s not exactly primary, with low/medium dusty tannins and low/medium acidity. Medium weight, soundly even palate and a medium length finish. And yet it seems rather tight still, and in need of much time to emerge properly. Another five years will help. Tidy but not spectacular.

September 22, 2020 - Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #047:Shiraz/Syrah, Australia, France and South Africa. (By AG): In the bouquet minerals and barnyard impressions. Also oak and vanilla. On the palate iron, chocolate and a fresh style.

August 30, 2020 - Much better than previous experience. Upgrade score to 92

October 25, 2018 - PnP this young brokenwood. Which I’d admit is not a great way to consume it.
Not bad. Christmas cake, spice and tannic
Leave the rest for a good while yet. Could soften out to a low 90s score
