May 4, 2024 - Nearly 20 years later this 'bargain' in a vintage of the century is enjoyable as the tannin has faded and blackcurrant, leather, olive and red plumb notes are nicely integrated.

Medium minus intensity aromas of brambly fruit, almost a little tomato leaf, cedar, sweet spice; nutmeg; slight clove, fresh blackcurrant with time, leather, biscuit. Spiced black fruits, almost Christmassy, woody flavoured tannins are integrated, fruit sweet, brambly core (though the wine is dry), long, generous, Yum.

June 27, 2023 - Notes of black currant, vanilla, tobacco, leather and smoked cedar. Earthy cherry on a medium finish. Medium plus body. Soft tannins. Very pleasant.
