October 16, 2023 - Holding up well. Breathed about 30 minutes leading to wonderful nose but diminished fruit. I think it is drink up time, but this bottle was very enjoyable.

March 6, 2023 - Very intense and sour on opening. Over two hours this CS developed great complexity, wonderful CS characteristics with intense and long lasting complex fruit, with soft tannin. Great with lamb chops and chocolate chip cookies. The second half bottle tomorrow. We shall see.

March 19, 2022 - This old vine cab is drinking GREAT right now! Has to be at or near peak, I can’t imagine it getting any better. Tannins have softened but still enough back bone to nicely balance the big, bold, fruits that are really opening up. Black cherry, cassis, hints of vanilla, and leather with a long, tantalizing finish. Delightful.

March 5, 2022 - As others have said, this wine is an excellent exemplar of Washington Cab. It was very slow to open in the glass, but when it did it was delicious. I think it will be wonderful beyond 2024 that others have suggested. Drank half on the first night. We shall see what it is worth tomorrow.

February 14, 2022 - Delicious CS with a bit more tannin than suits my taste. Went will with pulled pork dinner. I think it is coming up on its time.

(Woodward Canyon Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley) Intoxicating varietal aromatics of intensely dark fruit and chocolate along with spice and licorice. The palate is seamless and structured, rich and intense. Beautifully layered with a long, long finish. Nothing short of an accomplishment of a wine. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Champoux (74%) and Sagemoor vineyards (26%). Aged in new French oak. 14.8% alcohol. 628 cases produced.
