January 22, 2021 - Another terribly flawed and premoxed bottle from Dom. Lafon. I have no idea who is buying this wine at auction (two lots in 2019), but I would suggest that there is not a single good bottle left in the world. In my opinion, avoid all the Lafon blanc from this era.

October 1, 2015 - Robe jaune or un peu pale sans tracce d'oxydation
Nez floral et fruits blancs, moyennement marqué et complexe
Bouche ronde tres bel équilibre puissance moyenne.
Manque un peu de tension et de complexité pour etre vraiment exceptionnel. -

January 2, 2014 - A belated birthday dinner at Garibaldi with my wife, Wayne, AL and SS. This was yellow gold in colour, bordering on caramel. It seemed fairly advanced for the vintage. The nose was spectacular. There was honey, caramel, toffee and butter. It was captivating. On the palate, there was good structure, the tannins had all but dissolved making this a wine in its optimum drinking window. The flavours danced on the tongue, you could taste the butter, the sweetness of honey and caramel but nothing too heavy and weighty. The balance was perfect, and this lasted well in the decanter. A wine in its optimum drinking window. A wine from a really good maker.
