March 17, 2010 - Served with spicy black beans - worked perfectly. easy drinking Rioja, good acidity and balance.

January 10, 2010 - Deep garnet color. Nose of black cherry, leather and earth. Initially very tannic and tart with sweet fruit and spices peaking through. Clearly needed time to unwind. After 60 minutes this softened significantly and by day two it had opened up very nicely, retaining solid structure, but with the fruit coming through strongly along with the hints of earth and tobacco expected from Tempranillo. Very nice.

May 31, 2009 - Nice aromatic - cinnamon-leather on the nose. Well balanced and drinking fine now.

November 14, 2007 - Opened at about 9am and recorked. Poured into decanter at about 6pm and immediately poured a short glass that showed cherry and berry on the nose with tobacco-vanilla oak and maybe a touch of earth. Flavors were slightly tart cherry and a bit of gravel earthiness lingering on the finish. Tartness softened with air and the wine showed nice balance, soft mouthfeel and held up well for over two hours with little change. Shows no signs of decline. Will hold my last bottle for at least a year.
