November 16, 2018 - Very fragrant, with notes of antique barrels, caramel and nuts. Beautiful expression of Sercial, dry but not overly austere. Round on the palate, with hints of nougat, but the acidity focuses the wine nicely. Lovely lemony finish.

February 4, 2016 - Madeira Pilgrimage; 2/1/2016-2/4/2016 (Madeira): Lovely aromas of sea salt, ginger, delicate flowers, smashed seashells. Bright and precise on the palate with rocking acidity. Gorgeous fruit (apricot, dried mango, candied lemon peel) along with cut flowers and bright sea salt. So long and bright.
