Community Tasting Notes 18

December 4, 2008 - Rich golden colour, deeper than previous bottles. Attractive nose of tropical fruit with just a hint of nuttiness. On the palate considerable minerality is evident, together with a broad, mouthfilling viscosity and good balancing acidity. A tiny bit of heat on the finish doesn't spoil what is by any account remarkable value for money, although I suspect this is at its peak now and needs drinking up.

May 26, 2008 - Popped and poured quite chilled.

Nice pineapple color. Aromas of honeydew melon. Creamy melon flavor. Very mouth filling and creamy. Quite nice on this rather humid Memorial Day. This is going quite well with some cold smoked salmon.

This is nothing fancy, but it is very enjoyable. For this price, I may buy up more to have around for the summer. More enjoyable to my tastes than many other white varietals I've tried.

A toast to our countries finest men and women who have fought and fallen for our freedom and safety. Cheers.

February 19, 2008 - White and tropical fruits on the nose with notes of pineapple, white peach and papaya. Spicy oak toast, fennel and earth.
Quite fullbodied on the oily palate with balancing crispy acidity. Spices, minerality, slight liquorice and mid-intense fruit with creamy oak leading to an aftertaste of citrus peel bitterness.
    Good stuff.
