    November 23, 2019 - Tät kärna

Reduktivt, fisigt, körsbär, blyerts, kaffetoner, brett, stall

Torr, stram, bra längd, lite mindre frukt

Tydligt att detta är en lite sämre årgång då frukten är borta.

August 22, 2019 - Tasted blind. This was shown in a Burgundy flight and I thought it was a Ponsot as it was thick and oxidative with a rustic side to it. I any case I did not like this wine. Does not carry the signature of peppery, fresh Syrah for me.

January 29, 2017 - Delicate, at only 12.5% alcohol, but absolutely delicious. I found black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant, black raisin) and black pepper in the forepalate, and a charming lily-like floral character at the end. I could just drink this stuff anytime. Syrah does well in many parts of the world, but I don't think anyone else will ever catch up to what the French do with it.

We were served this at dinner by some dear friends.

August 9, 2013 - Nothing light about this wine. Concentrated plum and berry, spice and mineral, with some pretty hefty tannins.

October 4, 2010 - Terroir-istes International - France, Rhone, Cote Rotie (Rodwell House): Mid-cherry red, the wine is slightly cloudy. The nose is very wild and Sauvage with saddle leather, sweaty horse, iron oxide, and roasted herbs. The wine seems to have a Brett taint leading to bitterness on the back palate, but the acid is lively; there is a pleasant ferruginous quality, some mineral or crushed stone that works. Overall, there is little on the mid-palate, the wine feels somewhat rustic, and the tannins build.
