March 14, 2024 - Ikke dekantert. Småpen, men tydelig grønn, både nese og munn. Demper behagelig betydelig, men hva kan jeg gjøre. Litt gammel kjeller på nese dag 2, stadig litt grønn på munn.

January 7, 2024 - Ikke dekantert. Ikke topp flaske, men småpen.

January 2, 2024 - Good but not great. Probably mature although still some tannin. Not the luscious, hedonistic wine described by Jeff Leve and Bob Parker back in the day. I will see how the other bottles deliver.

July 30, 2023 - Gotta admit.....I was expecting a bit more. First bottle from an auction lot from a few months ago.

Tight cork. Dark purple in the glass, no hint as to the aging. Two hour decant prior to the HMCs coming over for dinner. Very slight barnyard on the nose til hours 2-3. Drank its best at 3-4 hours. Dark nose of floral twigs, dark red fruit. Palate of dark red fruit, some dark cherry, a hint of wood and flowers. It was a nice wine with a bit of orange rind on the end. HMC pegged it correctly as a Right Bank. A nice wine but not all that special as other vintages of theirs have been from this maker. I hope aging them longer pays off more. This feels like another Bdx '05 that isn't quite ready or up to the press of the vintage, just yet. Glad to have 2 left to try down the road.
