Community Tasting Notes 5

August 14, 2021 - Drinking beautifully, almost young like she is three years old. On the nose, black cherries, raspberries, and beautiful medium toasted new and 2/3 second fill French oak. On the pallet, still has an acid backbone but no young acid left; matured. Plenty of minerality and complexity. black fruit notes, with black raspberries, silky and smooth. After taste, is mineral with a dryness and a rich tongue feel. Drinking in its prime, but will age for a good more years before taking on its secondary notes. I wish i had another bottle to tuck away for another 5 years to reassess. Assuming it would still stand strong and vibrant but would develop more femininity and delicacy. Rivaling top houses of Burgundy with an American twist.

March 31, 2018 - Black cherry and earthiness. Very good. Young.

September 26, 2017 - PnD let air for 1hr. Earthy cherry touch of plum cola and cedar on the nose. Medium(-) weight with astringent cherry skin tannins. Macerated cherry touch of cola raspberry and rhubarb on the palate. A touch astringent and extracted. Not worth the Blue Mountain premium.

September 4, 2017 - Cherry, oak and spice. A bit rough with tannins still noticeable. May be still young. Will open my another bottle next year to see.
