Community Tasting Notes 13

  • Big Juicy Red Does not like this wine:

July 6, 2019 - My last of 3 bottles. Notes of black cherry and stewed dark fruits, with maybe just a hint of earth. No tannins to speak of, seems like high acid. M- complexity, M- finish. Not at all impressed. I liked the previous two bottles even less. It’s softened somewhat with a bit of age, but hasn’t gotten any better.

  • MMiazga Likes this wine: 90 points

October 20, 2018 - Hadn’t had since last year. Great surprise. Aged well, smoother, dark cherries and spices. Tartness and higher acidity typical of Oregon value pinot has gone down in a good way.

  • EFrohmader Likes this wine: 89 points

April 27, 2018 - Dark cherry, minerality, spice. Medium body & finish. Medium-plus acidity.

  • willie_p74 Does not like this wine: 70 points

April 15, 2018 - The wine looks fine enough, very strong nose, notes of cherry, toasted oak, and cinnamon. Day one drinking this and it was very big and over powering, not at all what I'd expect from an Oregon Pinot. Dark fruits and spices abound. On day two, it slightly back off but remained very in your face, tasted of bing cherry and menthol, resulting in a bit of a cough syrupy flavor to me. Not the biggest fan.
