March 14, 2019 - Very young but tons of potential. Tons of dark fruit, a little burly. Liked it a lot and look forward to trying it again in a few years.

August 25, 2018 - Slo-ox 6 hours plus 4 hours in the decanter.
I brought to a group tasting to ask for opinions on ageability and after all that prep it was still a tannic beast.
There is a dark fruit profile consitent with the St Helena valley floor location of the Lewelling farms.
Despite the youth, a well balanced feel and complex flavor profile of fruit, mineral, and fresh florality are apparant.
“Winner, winner” was the consensus. Great choice to lay down for at least another 5 years, potentially a 25-30 year wine. 93-95.
