January 12, 2019 - A bit too strained, fruit too low.

March 7, 2018 - A blend of biodynamically farmed Pinot Noir and Gamay. Fermented spontaneously. 12% alcohol.

Quite dark yet very translucent dark ruby color with a colorless rim. The nose is rich and ripe, but also somewhat all over the place with aromas of diethyl ether, blackcurrant marmalade, some wood bark, a little bit of crunchy cranberry-driven red fruit and a touch of Weetabix. The wine is dry, wild and crunchy on the palate with very savory and acid-driven flavors of cranberries, tart lingonberries and a hint of brambly raspberries. Overall the wine feels fresh but quite simple and a bit thin. The structure relies only on the high acidity as the tannins come across nonexistent. The finish is fresh, lively and crunchy with dry, straightforward and medium-long flavors of cranberries and raspberries.

A nicely drinkable and approachable little wine, but also one that lacks depth and character. The wine is not only light, but even borderline thin with pronounced acidity, light body and flavors that are dry but somewhat lacking intensity despite the high acidity that usually lends power to the flavor. This is perfectly drinkable little everyday wine, but something I find rather hard to get excited over. Feels a bit pricey at 14€.

December 5, 2016 - Apparence rouge coquelicot limpide densité faible.
