October 15, 2022 - Lifted sweet spices of cinnamon join blackcurrant, black raspberry, toast, vanilla and tobacco.
Medium-bodied, rich, sweet and soft textured with powdery (cocoa powder), slightly chewy, tannins this is a modern, approachable Bordeaux. A distinct cigar box holds the flavours whilst being joined by dark berry, sweet cedar, wet tobacco leaves sweet, dark (70%) chocolate and a thread of vanilla. Medium to long finish, this is very attractive with a lively acid to support and layers of blackcurrant compote and cassis. Decent concentration.

September 28, 2021 - A Merlot-led (75) blend with PV 15 and CS 10. A deep ruby-purple, the nose displays a cool, fresh almost lifted blackcurrant fruit, tilled soil, graphite and a dusting of oak spices—ripe fruits with good intensity. Medium-bodied, the texture is mineral edged with graphite nuances, lead pencil and extract but fleshed out with a core of dark fruits. The tannins start with chocolate powder. Still, they become chewier, like pomace or press grape skins accentuating the more extract structure. Despite this, the wine is well-balanced with fresh acidity, medium length and oak spices. Nice density to the mid-palate supports the fruit and gives a classic Bordeaux twist, and there is a hint of warmth from the alcohol on the finish. Fairly impressive wine all said and done.

July 11, 2021 - Ruby red with transparency at the edges that is still purple but with a hint of brown. Nose is earthy, pepper, and raspberries. Moderate tannins with a finish of blackberries and pepper. Nice balance with the tannins and the acid. Starts with the tannins and finishes with the acid. Nice fruit still full that emerges as the finish lingers.

February 25, 2021 - Mid to deep cherry the wine aromas are classic modern Bordeaux. Sweet lifted fruit overlaid with new oak spices alongside cedarwood, graphite and blackcurrant. Savoury nuances with wet leather jacket and redcurrant make up this attractive nose.
Medium-bodied, the entry displays a noted lemon-fresh acidity with grippy texture and notes of melted chocolate, spicy oak and black fruit. The tannins are fine-grained and begin quite firm, although they become granular and almost chewy/leathery as the wine unwraps in the glass. A lovely, simple wine with a density in the mid-palate, fruit freshness balanced with lively acid and ripe and lissom.

September 10, 2020 - This wine is yet another example of the high quality, Cru Bourgeois wines on the market today that have left behind the legacy of weak, insipid Medoc wines of the past. It offers the deep, inky purple of say a new world wine, yet with far greater nuance and complexity. Perhaps you can't truly tell a wine by its color!

The mouthful experience is one of earthy, olive grove density with high notes of eucalyptus and cedar. Chewy, roll off the tongue viscosity. An ethereal finish marked a touch of heat, revealing its 14% alcohol.

The most notable deficit is a lack of satin elegance. More brute than feminine. That may be asking too much of a $30 bottle of wine.
