Community Tasting Notes 20

  • Vinumming & Ahhing Likes this wine:

March 21, 2024 - Pleasant red fruited nose a little spice, agreeable not super complex.

  • jfaulk Likes this wine: 90 points

November 14, 2023 - Young, but quite good. Fruit and floral notes on the nose. Lush stewed plums and berries. Slight herb and spice. Nice earthy notes along with leather and tobacco. Popped and poured. I'm sure it would be better with an hour or two of air

  • Brendel Likes this wine: 91 points

July 4, 2023 - Had this at the Restaurant at St Martin’s Lane, London. Everybody liked it, and people remarked on the nose even before they lifted the glass. It has a nose quite distinctive for St Emilion; what to me is a bit of blueberry fruit, and other dark fruits.

If you can find this at a decent price, it is drinking well right now! Probably still has a few years left in it too.

May 9, 2023 - drinking very well now - and paired with steak - great meal!!!!

February 12, 2023 - Decanted for 2.5 hours. Aromas of iron, black cherry, graphite and hint of plum. Flavors of iron, blackberry, black cherry, mocha and hint of earth. Ends with a nice finish of 20-25 seconds with iron and blackberry notes. This is quite nice for the money and drinking well now!
