  December 8, 2006 - Classic Gewurztraminer with a strong perfume of lychee and rose petals. The color of straw with a hint of gold. Despite the richness in the nose the palate is bone dry (ala ZH). Oily with nice body and a little spice in the mouth. By far the best non-Alsacian Gew that I've tried.

  September 21, 2006 - Floral well-perfumed nose. The taste is similar, with lychee fruit flavors, a very direct dryness, and lots of spice and perfume. Vaguely reminiscent of a well-hopped pale ale (e.g. - Sierra Nevada). Good, but I agree with Vino Me, that this might be more interesting with a bit of residual sweetness.

  June 26, 2006 - Wyncroft Winey Tour & Vineyard Dinner (Wyncroft Winery, Buchanon, Michigan): This was the 1st Gewurz I have had from Wyncroft. It is probably the driest Gewurz I have ever had. Jim gives this 6 hours of skin contact and vinifies it bone dry. I might say too dry for my palate as I like a hint of sweetness to interplay with the spiciness of the grape. Some tannins in this wine with green apple notes. 86-87 points.
